About this piece:
This painting was created from a photo taken in August 2020 on one of my favorite hikes near the North Cascades. There were gorgeous wildflowers the entire way up but it wasn’t until I was descending that I was able to really take in the glory of the landscape and I snapped this photo. Fireweed holds a special place in my heart and I just knew I had to paint it.
