About this piece:
Almost every October I camp for a couple of days in one of my favorite spots near Austin. The weather is just starting to cool down enough for a fire at night, yet the sunshine during the day is warm and bright and you can spend the afternoon swimming in the waterfalls. It’s really peaceful and helps me hit the reset button and get out of the city. This particular evening in October 2017 was incredibly beautiful and I made one of the best meals I’ve ever cooked. I wanted to immortalize the memory in this drawing based off of a picture taken with a Fujifilm Instax8.
